National Corporate Governance Report

The report, which is annual NCCG lead publication, analyses the impact of world economic and financial crisis on corporate governance in Russia and brings about problems related to the status of standards and benchmarks used for evaluating the quality of corporate governance. The role of risk management as a mechanism of corporate governance, as well as the existing system of remuneration of senior management of companies in the world and in Russia, are discussed.

The substantial part of the “National report” is devoted to the analysis of changes in Russian corporate law, which is specified by the increase of activity of regulatory bodies in this field. The main findings of research project entitled “Modern corporate governance in Russia as seen by foreign businessmen and experts”, conducted by NCCG and Russo-British Chamber of Commerce at the end of 2009, are also submitted in the report.
