«The development of global capital markets inevitably leads to certain convergences and the waiving of certain differences that exist in corporate governance between various companies and countries. That is why it is necessary to establish international practices to regulate business, including the creation of certain institutions and differing access to capital markets. That is why we continuously improve Russian corporate governance legislation, because our goal is to create competitive conditions for the companies to decrease costs, to enhance corporate governance structure, and to create competitive conditions so that companies would be able to adapt to the changing market conditions».
