Chairman of the Board of Directors, «Troika Dialog Group»

Graduated from the Department of Economics, Moscow State University. Trained in Banca СRT (Italy), graduated from the training courses on the emerging markets organized by «Merrill Lynch» in New York City. In the spring of 2000, he took a course on Value Based Management and Negotiation Dynamics at INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France). In May 2001, he graduated from the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School.

Since 1992, he has been head of the group of companies Troika Dialog. In March 2002, he was appointed Director General for «RosGosStrakh». Mr. Ruben Vardanyan is Member of the Bureau of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), head of the Committee on Corporate Governance, and head of the Working Group on Power Sector Reform, Member of the RSPP Commission on Corporate Ethics as Arbitrator. Since quite a while, he has been Member of the Board of Directors of the Russian Trading System (RTS). Was Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Participants of Capital Market (NAUFOR), the Board of Directors of the Depositary and Clearing Company (DKK), and the Advisory Panel of the Federal Securities Market Commission. He is Member of the National Council on Corporate Governance, and Member of the Russian Union for Corporate Competition at the East-West Institute, as well as Member of the Board of Trustees of the Moscow State University (MGU).

The American Chamber of Commerce declared Mr. Vardanyan Businessman of the Year for his significant contribution to business development in Russia and respect of high standards of professional ethics. The Russian Association of Managers named him among the Top-50 group of the rating of 1,000 most professionally skilled managers in Russia.
