Conference focus

There is no legislation as to holding companies in Russia and CIS – only separate acts regulating certain parts of activities. The responsibilities distribution between the managing company and affiliates is not described in any regulation. At the same time the majority of companies has a holding structure. These two facts are contradictory but it is the reality that is really challenging in CIS where the state is very powerful in controlling business. There are various initiatives discussed but as soon as the new regulation is enacted there are usually no clear requirements as to its implementation. This becomes vital when there are a lot of M&A deals realised, and attracting investors is complicated by the volatile market conditions and lack of trust to the market from the foreign investors.

This timely marcus evans event will gather experts from the leading Russia and CIS holding companies to discuss the approaches to building a perfect corporate structure ensuring compliance with the internal regulations and international standards and thus reaching synergies.
